Born and raised in the beautiful rural community of Delaford, a stone’s throw away from where he met his lovely wife of the past 21 years, Charmain, senior pastor of the Calvary Road Deliverance Tabernacle- Rev. Dr. Vernon Arthur- has devoted his 21 years in Ministry to giving back. Definitely a people’s pastor, his favourite scripture alludes to this- Hebrews 6: 10 “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Rev. Arthur wants all to be mindful that their blessings are tied up in blessing others. Even more, our blessings will be in greater measure when we dwell in the presence of God as such, the presence of God should always be our greatest pursuit and the greatest passion of our hearts. So just as David cried out in Psalm 63: 1-2, so should we “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”
“We exist in a time where the outpouring from God is greater, according to Paul, and therefore we should be experiencing a greater manifestation.” He takes this message wherever he goes and promises to continue. His gifting in Deeper Life Ministry has taken him throughout the Caribbean, United States of America, Europe and the African continent. In 2006 he first visited Kenya and was invited to return, which he did in 2007, 2010 and 2011.
